Hope Medical Clinic

Q: Do I need to have a medical license to volunteer?

A: No. In fact, we need a LOT of non-medical assistance. Volunteers are able to help in administration, patient registration, with appointments, office assistance, blogging, and more.

Q: Do I need to have medical experience to do administrative work?

A: No, you do not need medical experience to come join us. Without administrative help, we could not do what we do, so thank you!

Q: What kind of licensed professionals are you looking for?

A: Medical:  MD, DO, NP, PA, RN, MA, Pharmacists, Physical Therapists, Dietitians and others.

Dental:  Dentists, Dental Hygienists, Dental Asisstants.

Q: What are other volunteer opportunities?

A: We need volunteers to provide computer support, administration, and help in connecting our patients to social services (such as Medicaid).

Q: I speak spanish, how can I help?

A: The majority of our clients speak Nepalese, Arabic, Burmese, and a few of them Spanish. While you may not be able to use your Spanish here very often, you will find that your skill of communication encountering language barriers will be helpful, so we value you! Come help us with administrative tasks or medical assistance (if you have a medical background).

Q: Do you provide internships for students, nursing students and pre-med students?

A: Yes! All students are welcome to help in your areas of studies. Some of our interns in the past have helped us with Physical Therapy, Website Design, Content Development & Photography. Students interested in the medical field will be able to help taking vitals as well as supporting experienced doctors who volunteer their time to help the community. Please email us your area of interest at

Q: To volunteer, how often should I commit for?

A: We recommed our volunteers commit to at least once a month. However, if you have a limited schedule, any time you can offer is appreciated.

Q: How long are the volunteer shifts?

A: Shifts vary from one to four hours. Check the clinic calendar for upcoming Hope Medical Clinic & Hope Dental Clinic opportunities!
